Questions

Selection and procurement questions, answered directly

Machine choice, fleet sizing, what to send with an enquiry, and what this site will and will not claim. Payment, shipping and lead times are covered on thepayment and shipping page.

In one line

Send the application, and get a specification back

Nothing here is a fixed catalogue figure. Where an answer depends on the machine, it says so and points at what to send.

Selection

Choosing the right machine

These are the questions that decide the answer before price is ever discussed.

How do I know whether I need a wheel loader or an excavator?
The deciding factor is whether the material has to be broken out of the ground. Loose, stockpiled material is loader work; compacted or in-situ material needs the breakout force of an excavator. Site mobility and truck access then refine the answer: a loader travels between stockpiles and sites, an excavator stays put and brings the truck to the machine. Our guide comparing the two machines works through the full decision sequence.
How many dump trucks does my site actually need?
Fleet size follows from haul cycle time, not from payload alone. Cycle time is the loaded haul, the dump and manoeuvre, and the empty return, plus the loading time. Trips per hour is 60 divided by cycle time in minutes, reduced by an efficiency factor for gradients, ground conditions and shift changes. The truck count then comes from dividing your required tonnes per hour by the achievable tonnes per trip. Payload on its own tells you nothing about fleet size.
What is the most common specification mistake buyers make?
Sizing on payload or bucket volume alone. Payload is capped by both body volume and axle loading, and which cap binds depends on material density. Wet or dense material can reach the weight limit while the body is still partly empty, so the same machine carries visibly different loads on different sites. Send the material type and loose density, not just a target tonnage.
Can you recommend a model from a catalogue?
We can tell you what the options are, but a catalogue recommendation is not a specification. The machines available to us change with supply, and the correct configuration depends on your material, haul route, loading equipment and destination regulations. Send the operating conditions and we will confirm which machines can actually be offered for your application.

Turning an enquiry into a specification

What to prepare before contacting any supplier, and what a usable reply looks like.

What information should I send with a first enquiry?
Six items make a quotation comparable: material type and loose density, one-way haul distance and gradient, road surface and condition, required tonnes per shift or day, the loading equipment available, and the dump point layout including any access restrictions. Add your destination country, because road, emission and machinery-safety rules differ by market. Our inquiry checklist expands these into the full set of questions.
Why do suppliers ask so many questions instead of just quoting?
Because a quote built on a one-line requirement is either over-specified or under-specified, and the buyer only discovers which after delivery. A supplier who quotes without asking about material, haul distance and loading equipment is quoting a catalogue page rather than a solution. Questions at the enquiry stage cost nothing; correcting a specification after the machine has shipped does not.
How long does delivery take?
Production windows and ocean transit are stated in the written quotation for your order, because they depend on the configuration and the destination port. Payment, shipping terms, documents and typical lead times are all set out on the payment and shipping page rather than repeated here, so that the numbers you read are the ones that apply to your order.
Do you sell a single machine, or only fleets?
A single machine can be quoted. There is no published minimum order quantity — quantity, configuration and price are settled in the written quotation for each order.
Documentation

Certification, compliance and evidence

What this site will and will not claim, stated plainly.

Is the machine certified for my country?
Road, emission and machinery-safety rules differ by market, and we do not claim compliance with any specific regulation on this site. Compliance is confirmed — or explicitly ruled out — in the written quotation for your destination. If a certificate is required for your market, say so at the enquiry stage so it can be addressed before the order is placed.
Why are there no technical specifications on the product pages?
Because the machines available to us change with supply, and publishing a fixed table would create a commitment we cannot always keep. Where a parameter is not confirmed for a specific machine, the page says so rather than printing a figure that may not apply. Send your application and we will confirm the specifications that matter for it in writing.
Can I arrange an independent inspection before shipment?
Yes, and for a first order it is the highest-value step available to a buyer. An independent pre-shipment inspection verifies that the machine matches the agreed specification before it is packed. Arrange it before the balance is due, not after. Our guide to the import document and payment sequence explains where inspection sits in the process and why the timing matters.

The guides behind these answers

Each guide works one of these questions through in full, with the arithmetic where arithmetic applies.

Still deciding between two options?

Describe the material, the haul and the loading equipment. We will work through the trade-offs with you rather than issue a catalogue recommendation.
